Q: What is the Cooperation specific programme?
A: The Cooperation programme aims at supporting international cooperation projects to promote the progress of knowledge and technology, not only across the EU but also beyond.
Cooperation is endowed with a €32 billion budget (2007-1013) to support research in ten important areas: -
Health: €6 100 million
- Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Biotechnology: €1 935 million
- Information and Communication Technologies: €9 050 million
- Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and New Production Technologies: €3 475 million
- Energy: €2 350 million
- Environment (including Climate Change): €1 890 million
- Transport (including Aeronautics): €4 160 million
- Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities: €623 million
- Space: €1 430 million
- Security: €1 400 billion
