- Objectives
Making the most of Europe's research potential
- European Research
Area
The ERA aims to create a genuine 'internal
market' in research and knowledge and to improve the way research
is conducted in Europe through better coordination of national
research policies.
- Framework Programmes
The Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) is the
EU's latest R&D funding instrument. It runs from 2002 to 2006
with a total budget of €17,500 million, up 17% on FP5. How
is FP6 different from previous framework programmes? What are
the main priorities of FP6? What are the new FP6 instruments?
How will FP6 be structured? Where does researcher mobility fit
in?
- Assistance to Researchers
Two initiatives will be put in place by the
European Commission and the Member States and candidate countries
aimed at solving the specific problems of information provision
and practical assistance: a European Mobility Portal and Mobility
