New Instruments
The Sixth Framework Programme
for research, technological development and demonstration
activities (2002-2006) includes two new instruments which
will be used, where deemed appropriate, as priority means
of carrying out activities in the priority thematic areas
with the objective of integrating European research. These
instruments are: integrated projects and networks of excellence,
and detailed information on them can be found in the following
background documents:

Workshops on the FP6 Instruments - March 2006
A series of three dedicated Workshops to take stock of the experience acquired from the implementation of the three main instruments of FP6 (Networks of Excellence, Integrated Projects and Specific Targeted Research Projects) was organised by the European Commission in March 2006.
