Taking stock and moving forward
Brussels 18 June 2009
Following the successful completion of the ex-post evaluation of FP6 and the publication of the expert group's report in February 2009, the Evaluation and Monitoring Unit in DG Research held a conference designed to take stock of what had been achieved and to consider how future evaluations of the Framework Programme might be improved even further. The event took place in the Albert Borschette Conference Centre in Brussels on 18 June 2009.

- To gather feedback on the conduct and findings of the studies
- To reflect on new questions and approaches that could inform future evaluations of the Framework Programme
Approximately 80 participants from the fields of research evaluation, research management and academia attended. In addition to technical points relating to the design and methodology of individual studies, there was a wide-ranging discussion on issues relating to the evaluation and assessment of research programmes, and the Framework Programme in particular.
