Purpose of the ERA Survey 2014

The 2014 ERA Survey - which has been substantially streamlined - is the follow up to the 2012 ERA Survey, which aimed at identifying implementation actions required to complete a single market for researchers, knowledge and technology. As called for by the Council, the necessary conditions should be in place by 2014 in order to achieve a fully functioning ERA. The 2014 ERA Survey will be crucial for identifying areas where progress has been made and where further efforts are required.

The results will be aggregated at national level to reflect the overall state of play in each country. Data collected will not, in any circumstances, be used to report back at organisational level.

The results at EU level of the 2012 ERA Survey are available in the 2013 ERA Facts and Figures .

Therefore, it is advisable to download and distribute the questionnaire prior to filling it in online. The ERA survey glossary provides useful definition of the terms used in the survey.

Once more, the European Commission would like to thank your organisation in advance for participating in the survey. Your participation makes ERA a reality.
