Professor Neven DUIC
Professor Neven Duic, PhD, is Head of Chair of Power Engineering and Energy Management at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FSB), University of Zagreb, Croatia. He has taken part in various European projects (FP5, FP6, FP7, DG-ENV, LIFE, IEE) in fields of combustion engineering, sustainable development, energy, environment and mobility. Since 2007 he is a member of Steering Group on Human Resources and Mobility. He has established the Croatian Researchers' Mobility Network and has coordinated the EURAXESS programme since its inception in Croatia in 2008.
Professor Neven Duic is also the Head of the Steering Committee for Mobility of Researchers formed by the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, as well as the Expert Member of the Programme Committee for the FP7 PEOPLE Programme.
Since 2008 under his leadership EURAXESS Croatia and the Steering Committee for Mobility of Researchers have made great leaps in facilitating researchers' mobility in Croatia, by instigating changes in relevant legislature to allow for easier regulation of entry and work for foreign researchers and by promoting the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Research, as well as by supporting research organisations in implementing the Charter and Code principles.
He has established the EURAXESS Helpdesk that assists researchers directly in all matters related to mobility and publishes annually the Foreign Researcher's Guide to Croatia.
