Increasing Europe's competitiveness through cultural heritage research
24 March 2011, Brussels, Belgium
The aim of this conference is to discuss the results of the EU-funded project NET-HERITAGE with stakeholders and policymakers. This ERA-NET has laid the foundations to better coordinate national research funding. Programme managers from 14 countries have identified best practice in funding. They have collected ideas on how to foster young talents. For the first time, common research priorities have been identified. In times of scarce funds, information on needs, strengths and priorities within the field of cultural heritage research is valuable for scientists and policymakers. The conference will showcase outstanding research projects and regional case studies which exemplify how the preservation of cultural heritage brings smart growth and enhances sustainable development.
Please consult the conference flyer if you would like to get registered for the conference and/ or its poster session.
