PV-TRAC |
 |
|
The PV-TRAC, the PV Technology Research Advisory Council,
is a High-level Advisory Council to develop a Vision for the future of
PV technology. The Council represents the major stakeholders in the sector
and the objective was to work together to prepare the groundwork for future
actions to ensure that Photovoltaics can play a credible role in the future
renewable energy framework.
The Vision report ,
entitled "A Vision for PV Technology for 2030 and Beyond",
identifies the major technical and non-technical barriers to the technology's
uptake. The Council has also considered the merits of using a European
Technology Platform as a mechanism to implement the strategy and
achieve the goals defined in the vision. |

This conference, organised by the European Commission
with the support of the PV Technology Research Advisory Council, will
present the major conclusions outlined in the PV-TRAC’s vision report.
Research and Industrial representatives will provide their
feedback on the report along with input on the experiences from other
sectors. There will then be 3 parallel sessions designed to give participants
the opportunity to feed in their views and to help to develop the future
actions as proposed in the Vision. |
