DG’s Mission Statement:

environment

- To encourage the equitable use, as well
as the sound and effective management, of
common environmental resources

The Environment DG plays a crucial role in setting
up and developing the Community
Strategy on Endocrine Disrupters. Furthermore,
endocrine disruption is also relevant to other policies
being developed and monitored by the Environment DG,
including the REACH,
SCALE initiatives
and water
policies. Concerning the latter, the Environment
DG has sponsored a
study on EDCs in drinking water
(
- 736Kb).
