Ramon Marimon

Ramon Marimon is Director of the Max Weber Programme for postdoctoral studies and Professor of Economics at the European University Institute (since 2006), on leave from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where he is also Professor of Economics (since 1990). He earned his Ph.D. in Economics at Northwestern University (1984), started his academic career in the United States, as an assistant and associate professor at the University of Minnesota (1984 – 1993), returning to Europe in the early 1990’s, as full professor at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and at the European University Institute (1994 – 2000). He has been visiting professor at Stanford University, Cambridge University, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, the International Monetary Fund, the Santa Fe Institute, Ente Einaudi and Luiss University, among other places.
