Karin Markides

Karin Markides is President & CEO of Chalmers University of Technology since August 2006. Karin Markides, professor of analytical chemistry, previously taught and conducted research at Stockholm University, Brigham Young University and Uppsala University, held a guest professorship at Stanford University and published over 250 scientific articles. Between April 2004 and August 2006, Karin Markides held the position of Deputy Director General at Vinnova.
She is currently Vice Chair of CESAER (The Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research) and Member and only academic representative of the EU High Level Group on the Competitiveness of the European Chemicals Industry.
