José María Fernández Sousa-Faro

José María Fernández Sousa-Faro was born in Madrid in 1945. Dr. Fernández received his MSc in Chemistry in 1967 and his PhD in Biochemistry in 1971 from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 1981 he was made Professor of Biochemistry in the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.

Dr Fernández also has a degree in Company Management from the IESE Business School in Madrid. Dr Fernández has more than 90 publications and patents in the areas of biochemistry, antibiotics, antitumorals and molecular biology.
