Dimitrios Pontikakis

Dimitrios Pontikakis is a scientific fellow in the European Commission's Joint Research Centre – Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS), working on the economic analysis of the European Research Area. Prior to joining IPTS, he held posts at the National University of Ireland, Galway (Centre for Innovation & Structural Change, (CISC) and Department of Economics) and the University of Newcastle (Centre for Lifelong Learning). He has a background in political science and economics and holds a PhD in the economics of technological change.
