Constantin Ciupagea
Constantin Ciupagea is Director of the Institute of World Economy, Romanian
Academy, and President of the Romanian Centre for Economic Modelling since
2001. He was State Counsellor and Head of the Department for Economic Policies
with the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Romania during 2006-2008. His main
areas of expertise are macroeconomic policies, energy, R&D and ICT policies and
EU post-accession related issues.
During 2002-2006, seconded national expert working for the European Commission,
DG JRC, at the IPTS in Seville, in the field of industrial R&D. He holds a PhD in
Economics since 1997.
