Barbara Aronson is a medical librarian specializing in issues of access to scientific information. She worked for many years at the Library of the World Health Organization in Geneva (Switzerland) where she founded and managed the HINARI Programme. HINARI provides access to a major online biomedical library to 108 of the world’s poorest countries. Before joining WHO, Barbara was systems librarian at the Medical Library of Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva, Israel.
