CONFERENCE - THE EUROPE OF KNOWLEDGE 2020 - 25-28 April 2004 | Liège Convention Centre, Belgium

Parallel session 8
Research for the service industry

Tuesday 27 April, 14:30-17:30

Transforming scientific expertise in the field of services is a way of making science usable, not only for industry but for society at large. There are numerous fields which can contribute to creating better services or help improve production methods. The key for developing new ideas is a good knowledge of the market and technology foresight. This session explored how university-based research can benefit from the service industry and vice versa.

Chairperson Judith Mosoni-Fried, Professor, Budapest University (HU)
Rapporteur Robin Cowan, Researcher, PREST- University of Manchester (UK)
