How to take part
- Registration
The encounter Modern biology and visions of humanity organised by the European Commission’s Research Directorate-General, will bring together, on 22-23 March 2004, philosophers, scholars in the arts humanists, writers and scientists in modern biology. They will reflect on the impact life sciences are having on our perceptions of the human being and to what extent they are influencing the direction of our cultures and societies
Invited guests from across society, including political and lobby groups, young people, religious organisations and artists, will broaden the debate to take in multiple perspectives.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided from and to German, English, Spanish, French and Italian.

To get to Genoa, there are direct flights from Milano, Napoli, Paris, London and Munich.
Otherwise, there are two stations in Genoa; which are both at equal distance to the Palazzo Ducale.
- From Piazza Principe station
Take bus n° 29 or 35 and get off at Piazza De Ferrari. Althernatively, you can take a taxi.

- By car
Travelling from the North and the West, exit at Genova Ovest tollgate, take the Sopraelevata flyover, exit at Piazza Corvetto.
Travelling from the East, exit at Genova Est tollgate, direction Brignole railway
station, Via D'Aste and Piazza Dante (Via D'Annunzio). View the map.
