Description of the activities presented on the stand

Recycling of stainless steel slag by means of a mechanical separation technique based on the slag magnetic properties and density. The valuable metal is separated in a metal fraction with a high degree of purity that suits for direct input as stainless steel scrap. The processed stainless steel slag is used as a secondary material in construction. The cement or bituminous bound slag complies with the severe environmental legislation. The successful CRAFT project resulted in different patents and a highly performing slag processing plant in operation since September 2002.
