Fifth Framework Programme
Quality of Life – Key Action 5: sustainable agriculture,
fisheries and forestry, and integrated development of rural
areas including mountain areas
European Union-backed research projects focusing
on the socio-economic aspects of the life sciences and biotechnologies
sectors are presented below. These projects, listed with their
title and contract number, were carried out during the Fifth
Framework Programme (1998-2002) under the Quality
of Life programme, and relate to sustainable agriculture,
fisheries and forestry, and integrated development of rural
areas including mountain areas.
