Save the date – 26 to 28 March "Bioeconomy in Action", Conference, Copenhagen
The Bioeconomy in Action conference is taking place from 26 to 28 March 2012 in Copenhagen, under the aegis of the Danish Presidency of the European Union.
The three day conference will provide a platform to discuss the European Commission strategy "Innovating for Sustainable Growth: a Bioeconomy for Europe" which was adopted this February that will be presented on the first day.
Attendees will include Ministers and high level officials from governments, research councils, industry, organisations and NGO's. They will be able to discuss the general framework conditions required to implement this strategy and how best to create partnerships across Europe.
The second day will look at actual implementation scenarios. Research funders, industry, universities, organisations, NGOs, scientists and other relevant stakeholders will discuss concrete challenges in the Bioeconomy. In parallel, the BIOPROM Workshop will gather communication experts using innovative approaches in communicating the Bioeconomy, particularly to the younger generations.
On the final day, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Inbicon Biomass refinery in Kalundborg to see the Bioeconomy in action!
