Animal health topping the menu
Animal health tops the agenda for the ‘Healthy livestock and people’ meeting to be held on 14 May in Brussels. The seminar will bring together representatives from science, policy-making and industry to discuss the integrated approaches needed to secure healthy livestock in Europe and set out the research priorities for the coming years.
Irish MEP Mairead McGuiness will host the event, which is organised by the EADGENE-S network of excellence for animal health genomics and the Animal Task Force, an expert stakeholder organisation working for a sustainable and competitive livestock sector in Europe. Participants can expect an integrated view of animal health issues and an overview of state-of-the-art research results in animal breeding and genomics for animal health.
