The Cyprus agricultural research system (public sector)

The national agricultural research system is mainly under the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment. One of its departments, namely the Agricultural Research Institute (ARI), is the only Cyprus institution engaged exclusively in agricultural research, covering the wider domain of crop and animal production. Other departments of the Ministry of Agriculture Natural Resources and Environment are also engaged to some extent in research in their respective domains.
