Cohesion and competition: the search for greater coherence (17.03.98)

The concentration of regional aid in the most disadvantaged areas forms the common objective of EU regional and competition policies. In this context, on 17 March 1998 the Commission adopted a Communication on the search for a better coherence between these policies. This document supports the new Regulation for the Structural Funds 2000-2006.
