The “OPEN DAYS 2005 – European Week of Regions and Cities” are jointly organised by the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission’s Regional Policy Directorate-General.
The two institutions have selected 106 partners from european regions and their Brussels offices grouped in 16 conglomerates as official partners for 2005. This partnership comprises of regions and cities from 27 European countries, of which 22 come from EU Member States, three from the accession countries of Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia, as well as Andorra and Norway.
Fifteen partner regions or cities come from Spain, whereas France and Italy will be present with 11 regions each, Germany and Poland with 10 each, the United Kingdom with 9 and the Czech Republic with 6.
