The OPEN DAYS are organised by the European Commission's Regional Policy DG and the Committee of the Regions, together with partners from European regions and cities, other European Institutions and businesses.
Event partners fall into three categories:
Regions and cities are the core of the OPEN DAYS event. Through their Brussels representation offices they are asked to create so-called 'regional partnerships' and to present seminars and local events in the framework of the OPEN DAYS.
Regional Partnerships list
The European Parliament, the Presidency of the Council of the EU, the European Investment Bank and other Commission DGs as well as the Commission representations in the Member States and information networks are expected to contribute. Third countries and international organisations will be invited by DG Regional Policy to contribute to a special series of seminars on the international dimension of regional policy.
Business partners and associations, financial institutions and civil society organisations
Business partners and associations, financial institutions and civil society organisations will organise sessions as part of the OPEN DAYS programme, mainly within the 'Meeting Place' at the Committee of the Regions' HQ, where they will present projects and ideas in cooperation with regions and cities.
