EU Regional Policy- key for achieving Union's 2020 sustainable growth goals

The European Commission presented a communication setting out the role of the EU's regional policy in contributing to the implementation of the 'Europe 2020' strategy, in particular to its newly adopted flagship initiative on 'Resource Efficient Europe'. This document provides recommendations for Member States - responsible for managing the regional funds - on how best to harness EU investment to achieve a low carbon, resource efficient, climate resilient and competitive economy.
