New European platform for cross-border cooperation

Almost a third of the EU population lives in cross-border areas.
At a conference in Budapest on 9-10 December 2010, an agreement to create a new European platform to support cross-border cooperation was signed by representatives of the following organisations:
- Mission Opération Transfrontalière (France)
- Central European Service for Cross-Border Initiatives (Hungary)
- Grensmakelaar (Netherlands)
- Galicia-North Portugal and Castilla y León-North Portugal (Spain/Portugal)
