16 February: Follow the Urban Forum live
The debates from the first European Urban Forum will be rebroadcast live on this site between 0930 and 1600 on 16 February. This event will bring together around 500 participants inBrussels, including the mayors of a number of large European cities and representatives of urban networks, associations and European institutions. The Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn wishes to launch a direct dialogue withEurope’s cities in order to discuss the place of urban development in the cohesion policy for 2014-2020. This dialogue will then be put on a formal footing with the creation of a ‘European urban development platform’, encouraging the exchange of experiences at EU level.
In particular, the mayors of Amsterdam, Barcelona, Warsaw, Lisbon, Sofia, Bratislava, Manchester, Leipzig, Łódź,Naples,Turin,Roubaix andDunkirk will be attending the Urban Forum.
