Green Growth - a viable option for Europe?
(16 October 2013)
By 2050 the world's population is expected to hit 9 billion, while global energy demand will increase by 80% and our CO² emissions will go up by half.
The latest edition of Euronews' Real Economy broadcast focusses on how "Green Growth" can foster sustainable economic growth, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and minimising waste of natural resources.
One great example of Green Technology showcased in this edition is the Copenhaguen Cleantech cluster for low-carbon economy, which benefited from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) investment.
The project went on to create over 700 jobs in the clean technology sector and enabled start up companies in the sector, turning their projects into reality.
