11 Polish regions are closing operational programs 2007-2013
After Opolskie, other Polish regions are closing their operational programs for 2007-2013: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Lubelskie, Lubuskie, Małopolskie, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie, Śląskie, Świętokrzyskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Wielkopolskie i Zachodniopomorskie. Regions used the funding available through the European Regional Development Fund for investments supporting growth, employment and competitiveness in the region. The largest beneficiaries of these investments are Polish citizens who use the effects of EU funds' investments on a daily basis.
In the years 2007-2013, Poland received 68 billion EUR from cohesion policy funding, of which 16.6 billion EUR received Polish regions for the implementation of operational programs. The main effects of the EU funds' investments are: increase of GDP per capita, creation of new jobs, support for small and medium enterprises, construction and modernization of roads and railway lines, support for research projects or access to broadband Internet.
Currently, Polish regions manage the regional operational programs for the years 2014-2020, which are worth 31 billion EUR, out of 86 billion EUR allocation available for Poland.
Congratulations on your successes and good luck in further implementation!
