The Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Creţu and the Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos receive the mayors, deputies and political representatives of several European cities, including Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin and Paris, for a roundtable on 'How to strengthen the integration of migrants in cities'. The technical work has already begun with a 'partnership' entirely dedicated to the integration of migrants recently created under the EU Urban Agenda. The Commission is determined to help and support Member States and cities in their efforts, with additional funds, advice and assistance adapted to their needs. There will be further update meetings before the end of the year and at the start of 2017.
