European Commission invests 95 million euro to upgrade international road access in Hungary

The European Commission approved today the first phase of a major project worth 142.3 million euro, with 95 million euro from the Cohesion Fund, aiming at improving the international road accessibility in the Balaton lake area, Central Transdanubia, Hungary.

Several sections of the main road No. 8 will be built between Székesfehérvárn and Veszprém.

The project concerns a 27km long section of the TEN-T expressway and completes earlier works.
