Routes4U meeting for the Danube Region (EUSDR)

The Routes4U project has been launched in the framework of the joint programme between the Council of Europe (Directorate General of Democracy) and the European Union (European Commission – DG REGIO). The aim is to foster regional development through the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme in the 4 EU macro-regions. Already, the first meeting Route4U in the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) took place in June 2018. The 1st Routes4U meeting for the Danube Region (EUSDR) will take place on 6 November 2018 in Bucharest, Romania. This will identify the regional needs of the Danube Region with regard to the Cultural Routes Programme. Also, it will determine areas of cooperation and recommendations on regional development, social participation and cultural cooperation in the Danube Region. One dedicated session will focus on strengthening the existing Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and developing new ones. Participants to the meeting include representatives from European Institutions, National and Regional bodies, Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe networks as well as experts and stakeholders in socio-cultural and economical fields related to the Danube Region. The event is hosted by the Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration.
