ROP Basilicata ERDF

Programme description

Main objectives

The programme will promote business investment in R&I and enhance the competitiveness of SMEs. At the same it will support the shift towards a low-carbon economy and investements in the water and waste sectors to preserve the environment. Furthermore funding will be use to protect and promote natural and cultural heritage.

Funding priorities

The Programme will focus on eight main priorities:

  • Reinforcing research, technological development and innovation (ERDF: 11.60%)
  • Enhancing use and quality of ICT technologies, strengthening ICT applications for e-government, e-health and e-procurement (ERDF: 11.9%)
  • Promoting SMEs competitiveness (ERDF: 16.7%)
  • Supporting the transition towards a low-carbon economy and an efficient use of resources (ERDF: 16.15%)
  • Preserving and protecting the environment and promoting resource efficiency (waste and water sectors), restoring biodiversity and soil and promoting ecosystem services, improving the urban environment, regenerate and decontaminate brownfield sites (including conversion areas), conserving, protecting, promoting and developing natural and cultural heritage (ERDF: 20%)
  • Developing transport and network infrastructures (ERDF: 8.1%)
  • Promoting social inclusion, investing in health and social infrastructures (ERDF: 7.3%)
  • Strengthening of the education system (ERDF: 4.0%)

Expected impacts

  • Increase of the R&D expenditure as a % of GDP from 0.1% up to 0.15%
  • cover 100% of the population with ultra-broadband to 30Mbps
  • reduce the GHG emissions from 1,704.2 to 1,450 (tonnes of CO 2 eq.)
  • Energy consumption of the enterprises decreased by 14.8 GWh
  • 377 309 of additional population should be served by improved water supply and 312 000 of additional population served by improved wastewater treatment
  • 100% of all education buildings to respect the security standards
  • 400 rehabilitated housing units in urban areas (25 000 mq)
