Programme description
Main objectives
The ERDF Programme for the Alsace region contributes to the dynamics of Europe 2020 targets to boost smart growth and an economy based on knowledge and innovation, sustainable and inclusive growth. Through investments in research, SMEs, digital agenda and the transition towards a low carbon economy jobs should be created and productivity boosted. ERDF funding will be targeted according to the strengths and development needs of the region.
Funding priorities
The Programme will focus on five main priorities:
- Enhance a knowledge society through investments in R&D according to the regional smart specialisation strategy
- Enhance access to, and use of ICT and support to e-society
- Boost growth in SMEs, including the social economy
- Transition to a low carbon economy
- Sustainable and integrated urban development
Expected impacts
- 220 companies cooperating with research centres
- Increase the average regional survival rate of SMEs
- More than 10,000 enterprises connected to broadband and high-speed networks
- Increase the production of renewable energy and reduce CO2 emissions
