14-15 March 2011 – Brussels – Seminar on the EUSBSR: Meeting of Priority Area Coordinators, Horizontal Action Leaders, National Contact Points
On 14- 15 March 2011 the European Commission organised the seminar gathering main actors responsible for the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. The principal objectives of the seminar were:
1) to develop clearer support and guidelines for the roles of Priority Area Coordinators (and Flagship Project Leaders), Horizontal Action Leaders and National Contact Points;
2) to agree on communication needs;
3) to discuss further cross-sectoral and cross-cutting links across the Priority Areas and Horizontal Actions.
4) to consider the adoption of targets for the Strategy and questions concerning evaluation and future needs;

14-15 October 2010 – Tallinn – First Annual Forum on the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region
On the 14-15 October 2010 in Tallinn, the European Commission organised the first Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. The Forum included a presentation and discussion of the first draft implementation report, as well as updates on the various Priority Areas indicated in the Strategy. All stakeholders were invited to join this open exchange of views on the status and future of the Strategy. Interventions and comments made during the Forum contributed to the final drafting of the implementation report and to the future development of the Strategy.
