(17/05/2013) 126 PhD students and young researchers from 25 EU Member States and 11 non-EU Member States applied for the OPEN DAYS 2013 Open University Master Class session to be held on 8-9 October in the framework of OPEN DAYS in Brussels. Selections of applicants are currently taking place and candidates will be informed of the outcome of their application in June 2013. OPEN DAYS partners met on 26 April 2013 for a first coordination meeting with the event's co-organisers: the European Commission's Directorate –General for Regional and Urban Policy and the Committee of the Regions. The aim of the meeting was to inform about the draft programme and to exchange views on the way ahead in the preparations. |

The sessions will focus on the urban development, innovation policies, spatial justice, decentralisation and other highly interesting issues.
