This year again, the event will be an occasion to join forces with a variety of European Commission Directorates-General so as to initiate a cross-disciplinary debate on topics such as community-led local development, a new feature of the European Fund for Regional Development and the European Social Fund after 2013.

Moreover, the finalists of the 'RegioStars Awards 2013' will present their projects, illustrating how their regions/cities have succeeded thanks to European cohesion policy. The RegioStars awards are organised annually by the European Commission to identify good practices in regional development and to highlight original and innovative projects which could be attractive and inspiring to other regions.
