Local event partners
The organisation of OPEN DAYS local events is open to all regional and local administrations, institutions or organisations. Whilst regions or cities which are already participating in the OPEN DAYS as part of a regional partnership are meant to organise local events in their home region/cities, a whole series of such events are also organised by independent partners.
Local events organisers are encouraged to:
- co-operate closely with the European Commission's representations/ delegations and its communication networks, such as the 'Europe Direct' offices and EU Documentation Centres in their respective countries/regions. These contacts will facilitate the participation of speakers from the EU institutions, the use of audiovisual facilities (for press/video conferences), help raise greater visibility to the event and attract media attention.
- raise awareness among the regional and local media and invite members of the Committee of the Regions, the European Parliament as well as local and regional politicians to participate in the events.

Local events 2012 - Evaluation forms
Your evaluation is important in order to highlight the added-value of local events in the decentralised communication on and in Europe, and to ensure the success of next year's local events.
Thank you for completing the following forms:
- Word document "Report" on the local events' contents (including quotes, highlights of the discussions/debates, conclusions, and links to press articles, audio-visual material (pictures, video, etc.) recorded at the local events.
- A short online evaluation form: accessible from 22/10/2012 - 21/12/2011 with mainly comments on the concept "Europe in my region/city".
Pictures (maximum 3 per local event), if possible with the local events logo visible, are very important to reflect the spirit of your meeting/event.
The results will be used for a publication entitled "Proceedings" which will be available in an electronic version beginning January 2013 on the OPEN DAYS - Local Events section.
Thank you for your cooperation
