- Journalists from European, national, regional and local media.
You can register online via the registration webpage.
Together with the regional partner offices in Brussels, the organisers will offer a special programme for regional journalists. The Committee of the Regions will host a press centre during the event which will include facilities for journalists as well as a TV studio at the disposal of visiting crews. The TV studio can host talk shows and interviews, and direct emission via satellite can be provided upon request.
For more information, including the full media programme and registration of journalists, please check the event website for updates or contact the team by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +32 2 333 59 05
Selecting workshops and seminars
Each seminar and workshop has a code according to its date, the letter of one of the three topics, and a chronological number.
Programme details will only be made available on the OPEN DAYS website.
Whilst registering online, a search tool will help you find the right seminar or workshop.
The search can be carried out by keywords, themes, speakers’ names, programme codes or dates. If you find one or more seminars of interest, you can select them by ticking the appropriate box. The registration system will then ask you to fill in your personal data. Once completed and submitted, the request to attend the selected workshops will automatically be sent to the workshops’ organisers. Please note that group registrations are not possible.
Once the request to participate has been received, the on-line registration system will automatically send an email confirming that the request is being processed. Please be aware that this automatic message is not a confirmation of participation.
Within two weeks following the request(s) to participate, and depending on the number of seats available, participants will know whether they can attend the selected workshop. They will receive an email confirming or rejecting each request. Attendance at the workshop is confirmed by email only if the request has been accepted.
If you wish to check the status of your requests, the registration system allows you to do so under the ‘My requests’ button available on the registration webpage.
All confirmed participants will receive the final list of workshops for which they have been accepted by Wednesday 28 September. Participants are requested to print their confirmation email as proof of their registration for the various seminars.
Each OPEN DAYS participant will receive a badge for identification and registration purposes. Badges will be handed out in the OPEN DAYS Tent in front of the Regional Policy Directorate-General building (avenue de Tervuren 41 near Merode metro station) and in the lobby of the Committee of the Regions’ building (Rue Belliard 101) from Monday 10 October at 08:00 (see also p. 23, 'practical information').
One week before the OPEN DAYS, each participant will receive a specific email which includes their accreditation bar code.
Participants are requested to print this email and show it to the welcome desk to receive their badge.
