[29 July 2010] INTERREG IVC: New capitilisation projects and Fast Track networks

7 new capitalisation projects (capitalisation Projects are interregional cooperation projects which focus specifically on the transfer of regional development good practices into mainstream EU programmes) have been approved by the Monitoring Committee on 28 June 2010. The list of projects including their sub-themes (thematic sub-objectives under a given programme priority) and Lead partner details can be downloaded here

Out of the 7 new projects two will be Fast Track Networks, PIMMS Capital and CO2Free.

[21 May 2010] And the winner is…

The winners of the “RegioStars” 2010 were announced on 20 May in Brussels during the annual “Regions for Economic Change” conference. Awards were given to the most innovative regional projects which had received funding from the EU’s cohesion policy. A jury made up of renowned professionals in regional development choose the six winners from the record 87 applications, which saw Genk (Belgium), Auvergne (France), Brandenburg (Germany), East-Mid Sweden, and two projects from Lithuania being decorated for their efforts. More


[30 April 2010] German Länder project descriptions: 26 short descriptions of ERDF co-financed projects have been collected within the German regions and were presented at a workshop organised by the German Länder on the 'Future of the European Cohesion Policy' last November in Brussels.

Each project fiche presents a project synthesis, background information, and provides information on problems encountered during implementation, results and impact, sustainability and added value.

[26 April 2010] IMMODI, a newly established ICT-related fast-track network, organised a start-up conference in Potenza, Italy, on 9-10 March. The project consortium aims at capitalising good practices in the field of e-health and e-government in mountainous and rural areas in Europe. A short brochure is available .

[18 March 2010] Limousin Region leads the way on capitalising good practices in rural development

Following its experience as lead partner of the INTERREG IIIC project RURAL INNOVA in the years 2004-2006 Limousin decided to invest resources from its mainstream ERDF programme in the period 2007-2013 to capitalise on the experience. The Network Rur@act is the operational result. It provides a wealth of good practice support to its 59 members and partners in 17 Member States as well as experimenting innovative tools and methodology for monitoring the capitalisation and transfer of good practices. A very similar objective is behind the RFEC fast track concept.

[15 March 2010] Registration for the Conference ERIK ACTION and INTERREGIONAL COOPERATION – Upgrading the Innovation Capacity of Enterprises through Interregional Transfer is now available on-line at www.eriknetwork.net/erikaction

ERIK ACTION is a Capitalisation Project coordinated by the Regional Government of Tuscany, financed by INTERREG IVC (www.interreg4c.eu) and supported as a Fast Track Network by the European Commission.

ERIK ACTION’s Final Conference will be held in Florence (Italy) on Tuesday 11th May 2010. Through a mixture of panel discussions, key note speeches, exhibitions and new media, the Conference is a moment to take stock of the Capitalisation process so far and to discuss the theme of innovation in SMEs with international experts.

[22 January 2010] M.I.L.E. Handbooks released

M.I.L.E., the URBACT Pilot Fast Track Network tackling the "management of Migration and Integration at local LEvel" lead by the City of Venice, has released its handbook. Aimed at cities and managing authorities, it presents practices and approaches tested in the course of the life of M.I.L.E. project. The handbook provides original answers to practical questions on transnational exchange, local action plans, moving from plans to implementation and impact of actions at local level, most specifically on social inclusion. The booklet, avaialable online from the URBACT programme website, has been produced in the 8 languages of the network partners. [13 janvier 2010] Les finalistes des RegioStars 2010 sont connus

Les RegioStars sont des récompenses qui, chaque année, priment lors d’une cérémonie des projets innovants soutenus par la politique de cohésion de l’UE. L’édition 2010 des RegioStars a reçu un nombre record de 87 candidatures de la part de promoteurs de projets et de régions de tous les États membres. Cette année, six prix sont mis en jeu dans trois catégories: deux prix «CityStar», trois prix sur le thème des TIC et un prix dans la catégorie «information et communication». Le jury des RegioStars, présidé par le Dr Jan OLBRYCHT MEP, a choisi 24 finalistes dans les six catégories. Les finalistes sont repris ici.

Les 24 promoteurs de projets retenus ont été invités à présenter leur projet à Bruxelles le 27 janvier 2010. Si vous souhaitez assister à cette présentation, vous pouvez réserver un nombre limité de places en cliquant sur le lien suivant à partir du 18 janvier. Veuillez trouver ici le projet de Programme.


[08 Janvier 2010] Lancement du troisième appel à propositions INTERREG IVC pour les réseaux de capitalisation

À l’occasion de la conférence sur la capitalisation intitulée «Renforcer les bonnes pratiques de la politique régionale», qui s’est tenue à Göteborg sous les auspices de la présidence suédoise et avec la région de Västra Götaland pour hôte, un troisième appel à propositions a été lancé dans le cadre du programme INTERREG IVC. Il se clôturera le 5 mars 2010. Cet appel s’adresse spécifiquement aux projets visant une capitalisation par le transfert de bonnes pratiques existantes. Les projets sélectionnés seront également éligibles au label «fast track» et au soutien de la Commission, en particulier au titre de la priorité 2 du programme («développement durable»), qui comporte relativement peu de projets de capitalisation à ce jour.
