Programme description
Main objectives
The ERDF interregional operational programme "Bassin de la Loire"(Loire river basin) has been defined and initiated by the French authorities as an implementing tool of the new strategy for the Loire river basin at the horizon 2035. This long-term strategy, over 20 years, will be implemented in three successive "Plans Loire": Plans Loire IV, V and VI. Nine regions are concerned by this programme: Centre, Basse-Normandie, Bourgogne, Pays de la Loire, Poitou-Charentes, Limousin, Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne, and Languedoc-Roussillon.
The ERDF interregional operational programme "Bassin de la Loire" for 2014-2020 is coherent and complementary with the proposed strategy throughout the overall river basin.
Funding Priorities
The ERDF interregional operational programme is organized around two strategic axes:
- To increase resilience of territories to flood risk
- To preserve biodiversity and ecological continuity and to develop a tourism offer by enhancing the natural and cultural heritage
