Fighting fire without putting human life at risk

EU-funded researchers design unmanned robot for situations where standard fire trucks can't intervene

MVF-5 can extinguish fires in nuclear, chemical and industrial parks and save lives.

It is a unique, remotely controlled fire fighting robot that can be used in hazardous locations where human intervention is too risky.

The vehicle has been developed by the FIREROB  team, a research group set up in the framework of a project managed by the REA that has been supported by more than €800,000 in EU funds to find new solutions for fire fighting.
