EU research funding opportunities: 5% budget increase for individual grants
Scientists looking for "Marie Curie Actions" individual grants to do research both inside and outside the EU can now apply for new funding opportunities. € 200 million will be distributed among the retained applications, intended to cover three specific schemes of the fund: IEF, IIF and IOF. The figure represents a 5% budget increase compared to the sum made available last year.
One of these new calls for research proposals, published today, offers 'more flexible mobility rules,' explain the REA services managing the calls. Conditions have been modified for the IEF scheme - in particular, for a multidisciplinary sub-category named "Career Restart" - in order to facilitate the reintegration of scientists who temporarily interrupted their professional careers (e.g. women on maternity leave).
