Researchers, businesses and innovators from Ukraine will now be able to fully participate in Horizon 2020, the European Union's research and innovation funding programme, on equal terms with EU Member States and other associated countries.
Today the European Commission is announcing new support for innovative companies around Europe through two initiatives.

A new European Union loan guarantee facility for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has been launched in Portugal. The European Investment Fund (EIF) and the Portuguese bank Banco BPI today signed the first "InnovFin SME Guarantee" agreement in the country.
