The event will introduce the two calls, give participants the chance to ask questions, and will provide time for networking. There will also be a specific session explaining elements of a good proposal.
Implemented through the SME instrument, the Open Disruptive Innovation (ODI) Scheme (Call ICT-37-2014) provides support for startups and SMEs that are proposing innovative ICT products or services that have the potential to disrupt existing markets.
The call for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support in the Horizon 2020 Work Programme (Call ICT-35-2014), consists of six separate actions all designed to create a more entrepreneurial environment for ICT in Europe. During the info day the following five actions will be presented: ICT business idea contests for schools and universities, a summer academy for ICT entrepreneurship, ICT entrepreneurship labs, a public campaign to promote a less risk-averse attitude in Europe and inducement prizes.
Participants will also have the opportunity to present their proposal ideas for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support programme and can arrange bilateral meetings with Commission officials. For more details please see the full agenda attached.
There is no need to register for the event. If you would like to request a meeting or a slot for your presentation please contact the DG CONNECT Innovation Unit, mentioning your full name and the Call you are interested in.
You can follow the morning session via a live web-stream (active only on the day of the event).
