CEEDs project: Stimulating the Subconscious for understanding Big Data

Friday, 7 November, 2014
Understanding user's reactions to data visualisations will help and enhance user's abilities to understand information in big sets of data.

We are only aware of about 10% of our brain activity. Scientists from SPECS lab at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, along with the Department of Psychology at Goldsmiths University of London, hope to enable us to perform better in a world which is increasingly overwhelmed by data. CEEDs FET-Proactive project does this by making users aware of content they show interest in, subconsciously. Particularly novel in CEEDs approach is that data visualisations are adapted in response to CEED's reading of user's states.
