Title: Women, totalitarism and shaping our common Europe - GENDER REMEMBRANCE
Summary
The needs and objectives of the project were focused on E1: for the positive and lasting outcomes of the project, the events were designed to drive and ingrain the resulting awareness. In order to instil the importance of the EU and learn from the past, it is necessary to know the past and draw on the lessons learned. How women lived under totalitarian regimes and - how they contributed significantly to the current awareness of the common destiny and origin of the European Union - were the themes of all the events organised by the three countries, having involved more than 700 children/young people/citizens, divided into 7 different events (conferences, workshops, exhibitions...) which we believe will be a "tool" for the amplification of the project, but in particular for the values and concept expressed here. Besides the events organised by the project, videos presenting the totalitarian regimes of the three countries involved, with women as protagonists, we highlight as a powerful result of the project, the publication of the open access book edited by Cinzia Leone, Università degli Studi di Genova, in partnership with the other project partners and external guests, named "Gender remembrance - Donne, totalitarismi e la nascita dell'idea di Europa- Women, totalitarism and the birth of the idea of Europe", which will remain as an important record of the project that may have a multiplying effect of the project results and represents an added value of the project in terms of sustainability.
