Title:
From Rural Tradition to Future of Rural Areas in Tomorrow’s Europe
Summary
This project aims at highlighting the diversity of three rural areas in Europe and, at the same time, common European identity and values. In doing so, the project will particularly promote the key features of the European active citizenship so as to motivate local community members from rural areas to become active contributors to the future of the Europe/European Union (EU). Taking into consideration the common tradition, the activities of the project will focus more specifically on the following issues: - preservation of cultural heritage and the most recent EU standards on volunteering (including voluntary fire-fighting associations) in European rural municipalities - the future of EU rural arwas in the context of the EU rural development policy 2014-2020 - employability of the young persons from The European rural areas, including relevant opportunities/mobility mechanisms within the framework of the EU initiatives/EU programmes- the EU future in the context of the effectiveness of the EU bodiess, most notably the apparent mistrust toward European Parliament.The project's framework consists of a 3-day event that will be held in the Municipality of Beretinec (Croatia), and will be organized by the applicant in close cooperation with 2 project partners from Austria and Hungary. The project activities and working methods will be based on the extensive exchange of experiences/interaction among representatives of local authorities, local associations and general public (including members of relevant local communities who put in question the EU achievements) from the respective Croatian, Austrian and Hungarian local communities.
