Title: Network for Non-violence and Dialogue
Summary
The aim of the project is to continue in discussion among civic actors in CEE region about cultural and value conflicts and interventions to these conflicts from the perspective and position of citizen actors which will start on April 2016 at the initiative of PDCS. It is focused on cultural and value conflicts that currently attract attention of the media and public in Central Europe. The project will stimulate discussion among civil society actors about constructive solutions to these conflicts and seek non-violent and non-destructive approaches to promote public debate on related controversial issues. We will create a functional network / movement that becomes a counterbalance to the centrifugal direction of Central and Eastern Europe from the ideals and values that frame project of a united Europe, network of civil society organizations and individuals active in intervening to value conflicts and deradicalisation with the purpose of learning from each other, collecting tested conflict intervention approaches, and supporting each other's interventions. We will collect information about social value conflicts and radicalization in CEE Region and approaches for its prevention and interventions used by citizen actors in conflicts. The main result of the project will by created functional network/movement of regional experts, activists and organizations sharing common vision of nonviolent transformation of social/value conflicts in the CEE region and Germany. The network will be promoted by public campaign at the European level and it will be open for other individuals and organizations form whole Europe. Anyone will be able to connect to the network through the signing of a joint manifesto, which will poise values, objectives and activities of the network. Countries involved to the project: Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Czech republic and Germany.
